Fall and Rise

After I got out of bed, I took the dog for a walk.  It’s a beautiful fall day here in Indiana.  It’s sunny and cool, so I took Bentley for a longer walk than usual. Then I turned on the computer, checked my e-mails, and looked at espn.com and cnn.com to catch up on the news. Then I made a couple scrambled eggs with some toast.  I showered, got dressed for work, and headed out.  Got to work and started to document the new software system we are using.  Lunch was a sandwich at my desk – work is very busy.  I got home around 6:00 and watched Criminal Minds (I have all 5 seasons on DVD) while eating a pizza.  Good day.

While I enjoyed planning my wedding, I was relieved and glad when I was done planning, and the wedding day was finally here.  I was not one of those people who got sad after my wedding because I wasn’t planning for it anymore.  I was thrilled to be married and beginning my new life with my new husband.  With that being said, I’m really enjoying my new role as matron of honor for my sister’s upcoming wedding.  I’m in charge of planning a few things, but they are much more fun!  I’m helping to plan her bachelorette party, I’m helping her to make table numbers for the reception, and I get fun tasks like this.  I can definitely handle this kind of planning – it’s much less stressful this way, and a lot of fun!

I live in Minnesota, and I absolutely love it here!  I was born in Minnesota, and have lived here most of my life.  I love the four distinct seasons that we experience here, and the range of weather conditions that we experience.  While the winters are a bit longer than I would like, they are not as bad as most people think.  I love the “Minnesota nice” attitude that most people have around here, and I love the sports teams we have in Minnesota.  I spent my college years in Missouri, and for me there is no comparison – I strongly prefer to live in Minnesota, and hope to live here the rest of my life.
