Fall and Rise

I am enjoying the past one week since my wife is not there. I love my wife a lot. But being at home alone without wife also gives some kind of pleasure and I realized the same last week. She went to home town last week. Now, I am having more time to work with internet. This is because; I got less work to do at home. Yes. Usually I help my wife when she is at home. But when she is out of home, I can spend more time in internet. Don’t think that I am enjoying here by chatting with girls..! I am working online in internet without any disturbance last week… Day after tomorrow, she is back to home and I think again I have to start helping him. But still, I enjoyed last week. One more enjoyment I had is I had my dinner outside two to three times. This will not happen when she is at home since she only will cook for our night dinner. But, last week I enjoyed at a good hotel three to four times by having different items for dinner…!

Last night was the Labor Day holiday and we splurged and grilled ribs. Our local store had a great price on country-style ribs and so my husband, my daughter and her husband and I decided to celebrate in style Hubby and I were in charge of the ribs and dessert and my kid and her husband did potato salads and corn salsa. It was a great dinner. We made a rub for the ribs using brown sugar, bacon salt, dry mustard, Loveless Cafe meat rub, onion and garlic powder, smoky paprika and celery salt and pepper. Rubbed them on all sides and grilled them for about 2 hours. We put sauce on the table but no one used it. My daughter did 2 different potato salads’ one that was mostly mustard and another that had sour cream as its base and then the corn salsa. Dessert was strawberry short cake. I was a fun evening and the food was terrific!

Confessions help us to defend the truth as well as promote it.  The Apostles’ Creed was written to defend the truth of the Triune God among other things.  The Nicene and Athanasian Creeds promote the true humanity and divinity of Jesus Christ.  The Belgic Confession expressed many things, including the truth on the one hand that the Reformed were not natural rebels to authority, and on the other hand that the sufficiency, necessity, and clarity of the 66 books known as the Scriptures were to be honored, trusted and obeyed above all other authorities given by men.  These confessions and creeds arose to clarify and define the truth at times when the truth was under attack.  They continue to serve such a valuable service against the attacks of the gospel today.
