I like the fact that the US and global economies, with a few exceptions, continue to struggle and make headway to emerge from the great recession of 2008/2009. I like it that there seems to be more hope in the air, for the millions of unemployed and even more millions living in poverty and continual struggle. There just seems to be more optimism in the world, unlike this time in 2010, after a devastating 2009. What do I dislike about 2010? – a lot. The house I live in is well underwater with respect to my mortgage. I lost my job late in 2010, but am hoping to find a reasonable replacement job soon, before unemployment runs out. Fortunately, my children did not lose their jobs, and remain gainfully employed. All in all, I too, feel more optimistic for 2011, but 2010 was a year that was difficult and a struggle; I am not unhappy to see it past.
