August 25, 2011 — 8:21 amMy best friend is awesome she’s always there for good and bad times, as a babysitter, as a crying shoulder, and drinking buddy. The one thing that sometimes can get me upset is that when the tab comes around she just looks the other way. I hate that anything we do together going out eat or drinking together I pay for it. Sometimes it leaves me feeling like she’s just a free loader but the moments I need her she’s there so I also just hang my head as I cover the bill. It would be nice if maybe we took turns or she picked up the tab every now and then because we both know she’s financially capable of it.

Peer Pressure
August 22, 2011 — 7:19 amPeer pressure as many wrongfully believe does not only exist in high school aside from the obvious of teenage drugs and sex you may have unknowingly fallen into the cracks of peer pressure. For example, when I was a manager at a Stripes Convenience store I was constantly being invited to Friday “meetings” which were in a local bar at 10 o’clock at night. Luckily my boss was a good family friend and understood the moral obligations I had to my family so he always filled me in the next day. However one day the team of managers caught me at my store practically pulling me into the car to go to the bar. That was peer pressure give in one. Peer pressure give in two (lying) I called my husband and explained it was just a meeting I could not miss, he understood but made me promise not to drink. Arriving I realized what a huge mistake I had made in showing up because the table was covered in beer and shot glasses that wouldn’t stop coming. I felt like I was attending a late night party with college friends. Nothing about the company was even mentioned but the worst part was that eventually the drinks kept coming and with the excitement of screaming co workers to chug the shots I gave in. I ended up showing up till 1am plastered. That night I lost the respect of my co-workers, and the trust of my husband.

If my diet was for some reason established by only three items I would concisely choose only healthy meals because there is no way I’d hypothetically eat myself to a heart attack which in return may cause death. Eggs would be definitely for breakfast because at least I could have them scrambled over easy or boiled. For lunch I’d create an awesome grilled chicken Caesar salad. I know chicken can get tiresome but I’ve never really heard anything bad about having too much chicken on the other hand red meat isn’t healthy and too much fish can cause a high intake of magnesium. Last but not least Id have to add something sweet and if it had to be something I choose peaches just because its my favorite fruit and I can’t live without them.
