I love to shop for cheap dog grooming supplies and I am always in the lookout for good stuff for my dogs. When you have thick furred dogs like labs it is not only important to keep them looking good but also since they have thick fur resulting too many skin problems. My pups are prone to rashes because of the heat. A friend of mine advised me to apply coconut oil before giving them a bath or while giving them apply it along with them shampoo since this would not only soften their coat however it will also help to prevent the itchy rash that they get due to heat. I tried it out and in a month’s time, I saw a difference. Not only did their coat shined but also the rashes that were there due to the heat vanished. I was happy, not only did this solve my problem however it made a big difference for my pups, which were happy because their itch reduced a lot and thanks to the oil they have soft and manageable fur. I feel that if we as humans love to pamper and take care of our skin, hair etc, they why can’t we do the same for our companions.
The Miracle of Coconut Oil

September 30, 2010 — 9:04 amMany people enjoy dressing up their dogs as a recreational pastime. From raincoats, to hats, even small dog boots, pet owners are dressing their animals in the latest trends for both style, and function. What better way to keep Rover cleans than to deck him out in a protective raincoat? On a rainy day, this can keep your pet clean and dry, and cut down on messy doggy baths. Other pet parents simply dress up their pooch for fashion alone. After getting an animal groomed, many owners request bows to be added to their pet’s new do, or for bows to be tied around their neck. As a source of pride and joy, many pet owners treat their dog like part of the family, and this includes a healthy wardrobe.
My dog, the fashionista
September 2, 2010 — 5:14 amI always swore I would never be ‘that person’ that dresses up their dog, and I wasn’t, until I met my fuzzy soul mate puppy. My dog is my very best friend, we do everything together, even play football. I got him his own dog NFL jerseys to wear when we are out doing our sports; they were specially made and have his name on the back. We always get compliments and questions as to where others can find them. We also like to hike, and he gets a backpack which holds his water, food, and snacks. Whatever activity we do, I try to find him an accessory to go with it. I just bought him a pair of sunglasses and a hat for when we go to the park. The sun is bright and we shouldn’t be the only ones not having to squint to catch a ball. I want to give my dog everything he deserves, and that includes cool attire!
Canine Care
August 30, 2010 — 2:45 amCaring for a dog is a great responsibility and reward. Before getting a dog you should keep a few things in mind. Your new pet will be expensive and high maintenance. First you will need food. Second veterinary care like shots, deworming, spaying or neutering. You will also need a leash, collar, and name tag. If you liven in a cold climate you may need dog sweaters for dogs. You will also want shampoo and flea medication. But the hardest part will probably be puppy proofing your home so your new dog doesn’t eat your house. And don’t forget about training your new dog will have to learn basic commands. You can do this with either training classes or home training. If you choose home training you will need some type of healthy treat as a reward. Also socializing your new puppy is very important. Take him with you to the park or pet store and let him meet other people and dogs.
