My Beef with Dog Jackets

If god wanted dogs to wear jackets, he would have given them opposable thumbs, so they could knit sweaters and sew jackets. But, he didn’t; he gave them fur instead. Most dogs that wear jackets probably don’t need them. They may even overheat with one on. The ones that do need a jacket are dogs that man has bred to be too small, lack too much fur or have moved the dogs to a climate they are not suited for. I have pity on the dogs that are forced to wear clothes. They know it is not right and they must feel ashamed. Poor little guys; half dressed. If they are to wear jackets for dogs, where are the pants? The vests? The ties? If you want to dress them up, at least have the decency to fully dress them. Imagine if your parents only bought you a jacket as a child. If you made it to adulthood, you would be a weird one.

I always thought that dog jackets were goofy looking, especially on certain breeds of dogs. However, when I got my miniature Schnauzer, I had a total change of heart. Fritzi was the cutest little pup and I knew that her personality and demeanor would be perfect for dressing up. So the first thing I went shopping for were a few dog winter coats. I wanted at least three so we could alternate between them. Although you can find a good selection in pet stores, I purchased my dog jackets from a lady who had a home-based craft business and made everything to orders. So Fritzi’s clothing was a perfect fit, since she had been measured before and during the construction process. If you have a dog, consider getting him or her a few dog jackets. They’re practical and provide a way to pretty up your loyal pet.

My Dog Quapos

My dog Quapos is the newest member to my family. He is ½ Chihuahua and ½ Doxen. This year will be his first Halloween. My wife is crazy about Quapos, after going to the pet store and seeing the Halloween costumes on display. She wants to take the dog trick or treating this year. Dog Halloween costumes are a big hit when it comes to dressing up your pet for Halloween. My wife thinks it is so cute to dress up our dog. But if you would ask me, I would make my own Halloween costume. I don’t see the reason to waste the money on large dog Halloween costumes.

My best friend needs to start paying

My best friend is awesome she’s always there for good and bad times, as a babysitter, as a crying shoulder, and drinking buddy. The one thing that sometimes can get me upset is that when the tab comes around she just looks the other way. I hate that anything we do together going out eat or drinking together I pay for it. Sometimes it leaves me feeling like she’s just a free loader but the moments I need her she’s there so I also just hang my head as I cover the bill. It would be nice if maybe we took turns or she picked up the tab every now and then because we both know she’s financially capable of it.
